Episode One – Introitus

It is the year 1477 of the High-Thotic Calendar. Ludlov the Witch Hunter has died. Now his time comes to tell his tale to Death, the patient listener who has heard the stories of the departed for countless centuries. Now it will be decided whether Ludlov is pure enough… Pure enough to look upon the face of the Goddess…

  3. Klinkt schitterend, mijn beste!

That’s actually a very good idea, we’ll certainly look into that! Alvast bedankt voor het alom prijzende gecomplimenteer :-).

    • As you can now hear in Episodes 1 and 2, we have taken your advice to heart! All episodes now have an opening and closing tune.

    Just…awesome!

Yes, a short musical ending to each episode would really be the finishing touch I believe.

    Keep it up!

    Hey,

Excellent! Love the atmosphere, acting, sound effects and music! When the guy from the black sickle tried to use his magic on Ludlov reminded me so much of the voice of Saruman :)

If you listen closely, the sound in the fragment has a ‘warped’ feel to it and this is caused by the conversion to MP3 and can be helped by choosing better quality and using better conversion software.

(detail: when ludlov is in the house shooting ‘adomir’ there is no reverb at all which I thought a bit strange)

Cheers and bring us the next episode!

    • Thanks for the great feedback to everyone!
@Catpriest: yes, I noticed the mp3 compression. We’ll try to upload the higher quality version instead.

Edit Nov.29: We’ve fixed the mp3 conversion and added both a reverb and a cool body fall sound effect to the scene with Vathek :)

Maybe we should decide what the “official” communication language should be : )

    November 21, 2010 at 9:56 pm

    • Those who do not post in English will be flogged after the first offense, flogged and held in solitary incarceration for three days after the second offense and burned at the stake after the third offense.
      No offense :)

        /me is looking for a “like”-button.

Well, then I feel obliged to state an official language rule:

        *trompetgeschal*

The official language will be english, but those who comment in dutch will be answered to in dutch. / Engels is de officiële communicatietaal, maar de mensen die commentaar geven in het Nederlands worden beantwoord in het Nederlands.

Hi just wanted to say I learned about this site, on the warhammer forum of FFG, and I love it.
the theme is pretty close to that of the warhammer rpg, which has witch-hunters and all that. Do you have any familiarity with the world of warhammer?

I have recomended it to all my friends, and you have a growing support on warhammer FFG forums.

sincerly Rikard from Norway. keep up the good work

    • Hi Rikard,
First of all: thank you very much!
The Warhammer setting was indeed a major inspiration for this audio drama when it comes to the atmosphere and, of course, the whole image of the Witch hunters themselves. I myself am a GM and have played both second and third edition of the roleplaying game :-) I’m active on the FFG forums as Ludlov. It’s very cool to see that Warhammer fans enjoy the story as they are exactly the kind of audience we were aiming for.
